When to get evaluated
Waiting is the most common, and most costly, mistake in fertility care. Consider testing now if any of the following apply.
Under 35 and trying for 12 months without pregnancy
35 or older and trying for 6 months
Irregular, absent, or very painful periods
Known PMOS, PCOS, endometriosis, or thyroid disease
Two or more pregnancy losses

The process
What to expect
Six steps, usually finished inside one menstrual cycle. Nothing is ordered without explaining why it matters and what it costs.

Consultation and history
An in-depth review of medical history, lifestyle factors, and any previous fertility treatment, so testing is targeted rather than generic.

Physical examination
A physical exam assesses overall health and, for women, a pelvic exam evaluates the reproductive organs.

Hormonal testing
Blood work measures FSH, LH, estrogen, progesterone, and AMH to reveal ovarian reserve, ovulation status, and overall reproductive health.

Ultrasound examination
Transvaginal ultrasound visualizes the ovaries, uterus, and antral follicles to assess ovarian function and detect structural issues.

Semen analysis
For male partners, sperm count, motility, and morphology are evaluated to identify male factor infertility early.

Dr. Chauhan walks through every number and builds a personalized plan designed around your goals, budget, and timeline.
What we test
The tests that matter
We order what your history calls for, not a fixed panel. Costs are discussed and agreed upon before anything is drawn or scheduled.
Hormone panel
FSH, LH, estradiol, progesterone, AMH, and thyroid. Shows ovarian reserve, whether ovulation is happening, and what is driving it.
Transvaginal ultrasound
Images the ovaries and uterus and counts antral follicles, detecting cysts, fibroids, and polyps in minutes.
Hysterosalpingography (HSG)
A short X-ray with contrast confirming the uterine cavity is normal and the fallopian tubes are open.
Semen analysis
Count, motility, and morphology. Inexpensive, fast, and often the single test that decides the treatment plan.
Hysteroscopy and laparoscopy
Used only when imaging suggests a problem. Both can diagnose and treat fibroids, polyps, adhesions, or endometriosis in the same visit.
Genetic screening
For either partner when history points to chromosomal causes of infertility or recurrent miscarriage.
What testing uncovers
Why conception stalls
Infertility can come from one partner or both. Naming the cause is what makes treatment effective instead of repetitive.
Ovulation disorders
Conditions such as PMOS|PCOS stop the ovaries from releasing an egg. Common, and among the most treatable findings.
Male factor
Low count, poor motility, or abnormal morphology account for roughly a third of cases.
Tubal factor
Blocked or damaged tubes keep sperm and egg apart, often after infection, endometriosis, or prior surgery.
Uterine and cervical factors
Fibroids, polyps, or anatomic differences that interfere with implantation or raise miscarriage risk.
Endometriosis
Tissue like the uterine lining growing outside the uterus, causing inflammation and scarring.
Age and egg quality
Egg quantity and quality decline steadily after 35, and sperm quality declines as well. Testing early protects your options.
Lifestyle factors
Weight, smoking, alcohol, and chronic stress all affect outcomes, and most can be improved before treatment.
Unexplained infertility
Normal results still have a path forward. IUI and IVF succeed for many couples with no identified cause.
