We review medical history, lifestyle factors, and reproductive goals to confirm timing and how many samples to bank.

Sperm collection
Most samples are collected by masturbation in a private room. When that isn't possible, surgical retrieval such as TESE is available.

Analysis and preparation
The sample is evaluated for count, motility, and morphology, then mixed with a cryoprotectant to guard against ice crystal damage.

Freezing
A programmable freezer cools the sample gradually before it is transferred to liquid nitrogen storage.

Storage
Samples can be stored indefinitely, with regular monitoring to ensure continued viability.

Thawing and use
When needed, samples are thawed under controlled conditions and used for IUI or IVF.
